That same infrastructure-first mindset led to SoundSystem Live. Built from decades of experience in broadcast, networking, and cloud-based communications, the platform reflects Cerny’s belief that powerful media tools should be more flexible, more accessible, and easier to deploy. His work continues to center on helping venues, broadcasters, and organizations modernize how live audio is produced, delivered, and experienced.

George N. Capalbo is the Chief Technology Officer at Backbone Broadcast and a veteran broadcast engineer specializing in cloud-native radio virtualization. His expertise has powered live media infrastructure for global sports organizations—including Formula One, the NFL, and the NBA—alongside professional talk radio networks and collegiate stations via the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System (IBS). Bridging traditional broadcast engineering with modern cloud technologies, George consistently drives cutting-edge innovations in live event engagement and advanced in-stadium technical solutions.

George L. Capalbo is the Marketing and Communications Director at Backbone Broadcast, leveraging nearly a decade of expertise in Visual Media Production. George is responsible for overseeing the entirety of the company's content creation — including key responsibilities such as targeted advertisements for platforms like Soundsystem Live, as well as creating compelling visual content for social media and other marketing materials.

Sarah Malone is the Communications lead at Backbone Broadcast and oversees important business communications and press relations. Sarah brings a decade of experience across marketing and communications to the role and has extensive history with the disability community and sports and entertainment venues across New England. Her expertise leads our tailored and effective approach to Backbone Broadcast and SoundSytem Live's messaging and presence.
